About Dizzy’s

Dizzy’s Dance Studio was established in 1987 by our principal Miss Wendy. From humble beginnings in rented halls, the school steadily grew allowing us to eventually move into our own purpose built studio, which  allowed us to include a more varied range of classes.

We  currently run dance classes in Classical Ballet and Tap, PLUS classes in Keep Fit for the older generation.

At Dizzy’s we aim to teach groups from three years to adult, from beginners to teachers and professionals. So whether your ambition is to have a career on stage, to choreograph, teach or maybe just dance as a hobby, we can help.
Many of our students now teach dance as a career, or dance professionally in the UK  and abroad.

Our instructors are qualified through The British Association of Teachers of Dancing, (which was founded in 1892, therefore making it the first Association for dance teachers in the UK), and are all CRB checked.

Annual B.A.T.D examination sessions are held at the studio which enable the more serious students, (who may wish to go into teaching for instance), to progress to the next level of training, and to give all other students something to work for and also a sense of achievement. To date we can boast a 100% pass rate.

Our annual production involves the whole school and students get the opportunity to perform in front of an audience. During the summer months we are involved in displays and fetes in the surrounding villages. Through the Christmas season students have the opportunity to audition for professional and amateur pantomimes, both locally and further afield. Many of our students have already appeared in several professional pantomimes
